PeanutStore: Soft sole baby shoes!

Was shopping for soft sole leather shoes for Baby Adam and I found these cutey super irresistable soft sole shoes!
I know he is too young to walk, but they are too cute and reasonably priced to resist.
Soft shoes can be worn when your baby is learning to stand or walk and you can be sure the soft soles wont restrict the growth of your baby's feet.

So as much as I like brands like Nike Baby or Crocs Baby, they have to wait till Adam is much older and that's where the soft soles come to play :)
- soft leather material
- anti-slip soles
- lots of delectable designs to choose from

If you have a girl, or are a shoe whore like myself, you will love the sweet girly designs like:

and of course more *wink* Hehe

And I have a sneak preview of the new stock that arrived. Dont say I never say hor.. Heh heh.
These new designs are not listed on the blogshop yet so if you wanna see the full list pls let me know.

Why soft sole shoes?
Soft sole shoes are shoes for infants and young walkers, up to 24 months old.
The sole of the shoes are soft and made of anti-slip materials to enable them to sense the ground beneath their feet and to grasp with their toes as they learn how to walk. The shoes are very light and made of leather to protect the delicate feet of the child. They are flexible and bend fairly easily in order not to restrict with the foot’s natural motion.

You can visit: Peanut Store.
And if you quote "Adam's Mummy" here's what you get:
- 5% discount for $50 order and above
- Free normal shipping or just add $2.00 for Registered mail (instead of $2.24)

Have fun shopping Mummies! :)

Excited!

Next month Andy is bringing Baby Kai to get his passport done because...

We are going to HK in Nov during the Hari Raya long weekend! YAY!
And to Melbourne in Feb 2010... Yipee!!

I'm excited because this will be the first time Baby Kai is going overseas and I'm more worried that he might be cranky during the long flights.
Should we or should we not bring him? He would be 5 months old then.. Hmmm to be decided again.
Most importantly, we are going.. Yay!

Edit to add: Andy's mum *might* be going back to Indonesia during the same weekend and we *might* have to bring Kai with us to HK afterall... hmmm... That means I might not be able to do as much shopping as I like.

[Andy's mum is Indonesian-Chinese which explains why she often goes back Indonesia, Andy's paternal grandparents are Baba and Nonya. That makes KaiKai a quarter Indonesian and a quarter Peranakan. Confusing? Nevermind. Here's the even more confusing part:
I have relatives from HK and Australia too. My HK relatives are my Kai's GongGong's (my Dad) Grand-aunt and cousins. My Australian relatives are Kai's Popo's (my mum) half-siblings.

At this point, I dont know how to calcaulate Kai's great-grand and grand parentage already :P

Mummy & Baby

I think Baby Kai Kai looks so much like his Daddy.. that's what everyone says, with a few exception who think he looks like me (cos he's got my eyes)

These are my treasured moments: just me and him against the world.

Cant believe he is turning 3mos in 5 days' time, and already he is wearing L size diapers.
His 6-12mos rompers and clothes fit him just nice now... As you can see, his face is almost as big as mine.

This weekend is gonna be a quiet one, with my mum away, Aunt LY going to BKK for shopping with Aunt Connie, and Andy's mum is going back to Indonesia for their durian and birds nest harvest.
I also wanna go and eat free birds nest... But Baby Kai has no passport yet!

A baby's conversation with God

A baby asked God, 'They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?'
God said, 'Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you.'

The child further inquired. 'But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy.'
God said, 'Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy.'

Again the child asked, 'And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?'
God said, 'Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak.'

And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?'
God said, 'Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray.'

Who will protect me?'
God said, 'Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life.' 'But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore.' God said, 'Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you.'

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, 'God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name.'

God said, 'You will simply call her, 'Mommy.'

Malacca 080809

Met Siling & Norman at 10.30am and embarked on our road trip to Malacca... Satay Celup and Chendol here we come!!

On North South highway...

Upon reaching our 1st destination Makota Mall - some yummy icecream in the hot weather!

This is what Andy's been waiting for all along... The authentic Satay Celup!!
Look at the BIG juicy cockles and fresh prawns and the amount of food!

We devoured more than 100 sticks and it only costed RM$75.
After dinner, we went to Jonker Walk for the night market and we saw people peddling all sorts of things for sale including hedgehogs, snakes, chipmunks and scorpions.
I was very tempted to buy the hedgehog and I wanna name him Sonic. So cute!

After jossling with the crowd, we settled at Bibik Chendol House for some nice cold Chendol.
The gula malacca is simply irresistable!

What a good, fun trip we had. It was Siling & Norman's first time to Malacca and I hope they enjoyed it.
By the time we reached SG, it was already 1am and we still went to Siling's aunt's house for BBQ and drinks.
When we finally reached home, it was 2+am and Baby Kai was sound asleep. We both kissed him Goodnight on the forehead and I missed him terribly!
We've decided to bring him along to HK because I cant bear to be away from him for so long!

My random Friday and the exciting weekend to come

Today I finally went for my Diamond Peel & Gold facial - something which I have postponed for months because always no time.
After missing facials for so many months, cleaning up my face was a major operation!
But the end results:
my face was smoother and more radiant thanks to the Diamond micro-dermabrasion and Gold radiating mask! (Dont believe me? Click on my image to see zoom-in 100% hehe)
Best of all, it was a treat from my dear Hubby... *happy happy*
You gotta love a man who knows how to make his wife happy ;)

I miss doing all these girly pampering stuffs and how I wish I can dedicate one day of every month for some pamper-me sessions.
I've always dreamed of being a young & hip Yummy Mommy but this dream comes with a high price! I need alot of time for one, and time = $$ :P

After my facial, I went to Tampines One to shop abit and my mum called to say she bought California Baby bath pdts for her darling Grandson :)
Bubble bath and Shampoo & Bodywash. Thankyou Popo!

I need to pack Baby Kai's diaper bag and prepare all his diapers, EBM and stuff because tomorrow, Andy & I are driving up to Malacca! :D and we are leaving him in the care of Andy's parents.
We're going with Norman & Siling before she pops her baby. How exciting!
Andy is yearning for his Satay Celut (Hey C, the Satay Celut spices you bought for me turned rock le.... -__-)
The only one thing I'm sad about this trip is that I'll have to express and throw away my BM because it's not gonna last till we reach SG.
Which also made me suddenly realise - I've been BF-ding for 3 mths already! WOW

P.S. And my whacky Charmaine is flying off to BKK for shopping and then to Perth for some wind-down holiday.
I hope she has a wild time and cant wait to go Fullerton with her and the girls when she is back.
(Our Chocolate buffet date has been delayed for wayyyy too long girls!)

Okays enjoy your long weekend!

Mambo Bumbo

Have been tracking a Bumbo seat for Baby Kai for 2 weeks now.
I've called up Kiddypalace at CWP and Century Square and both outlets also OOS.
Mothercare at Tampines Mall has only 3 left, but they are pink and green :(
Baby Kingdom also doesnt have Bumbo.
Woah looks like this super infant booster seat is in high demands islandwide.

So what is so good about the Bumbo seat?

The Bumbo Baby Seat is a snug and cozy environment for your baby. This revolutionary infant chair is uniquely designed according to the baby’s posture. The Bumbo enables babies to sit upright all by themselves!

Veron, Mum of Three.

I was in the room with Baby Kai when I heard the Cow toy singing "Yee ya yee ya O" so I went out to investigate and this is what I saw....

BAD DOGS!

Back in the room.... the BIGGEST baby:
"Please dont ignore me Mummy"

Awww..... With a face like that, looking all teary-eyed and oh-so-sad, who would have the heart not to carry him??
So yes, I not only picked him up to carry him but I also cuddled, kissed and smothered him till he nearly went breathless.
I love you so much Baby Kai!
(and dont worry, I love you too Mavy & Alice!)

My boys

Daddy A and Baby A are enjoying some male bonding before bedtime.
Andy is giving Adam a sponge bath and getting him changed into his PJs :)

The many HAPPY faces of Adam Tan Tian Kai

This is my HAPPY bubbly Bubs when he wakes up in the mornings. He has so much zest for life and is always so happy to greet the start of a new day that it puts us lazy adults to shame Hahaha

"Good morning folks!" (see how he has deviated from his pillow Hahaha)

Water baby getting ready for his morning "swims"

After his swim in the tub, here he is going for walkies with the doggies in his new uber cool stroller :D
'cept in the photos, the dogs are nowhere to be seen because they cant wait for slowpoke Mummy to be done taking photos and have ran off on their adventures Haha

Combi Miracle Turn is really a dream to handle... I cant love it enough!
The parent-facing is brilliant, because babies feel more secure being able to see their parents.
See how much Adam is enjoying his walkies? Hehehehe

Everyday I thank God Almighty for blessing us with a healthy, cherubic baby.
Baby Adam is so happy. Happy with life, happy with the littlest things.
This teaches us - his parents - to appreciate the small things in life.
And oh, dont forget to slow down and smell the roses!

Baby Kai has a new 4WD!

from Combi

It's kinda expensive for a stroller but it is really easy to steer and I'm totally in love with it! So is Kai :D

The amazing feature is that is has 4 wheel drive for effortless steering either way (whether baby is facing front or parent).
* That's the most important thing to note when buying a stroller with reversible handles. Cos all other strollers only have front-wheel-drive so when the handle is reversed, the back wheels cannot swivel and will be a headache to maneuver.

All other features like:
- 5-point safety harness (to prevent baby from reaching forward to grab things and fall over)
- one-hand open and fold
- Egg shock cushion
- full canopy
are included.

Bye bye to Baby Kai's Red Fah-lah-li.. Welcome his new Orange Lambo!

Old Macdonald has an irresistable cowboy!

Went to the post office today to pick up my parcel from my online purchases.
I bought some Old Navy clothes and Nuby toy for Baby Adam teeheehe

Every animal will sing a different sound.. Feel like collecting all :P

Old Macdonald has a farm
Yee ya yee ya O
And on his farm he has a Cow
Yee ya yee ya O
And a Moo Moo here, and a Moo Moo there
Here Moo there Moo everywhere Moo Moo

He is pictured - Practicing his Sit. He was fixated on his new Nuby Ol Macdonald singing Farm Cow.. "moo moo here and a moo moo there"

"Hello Moo-mmy!"

Then Baby A kicked his new cow and at the same time he lost balance.... LOL!! Though he seemed very pleased with himself Hahaha Mr Silly...

And he entertained himself by staring at the ceiling and babbling... Hehe!

P.S. The weather is so HOT in Singapore that I'm tempted to let Baby A go full monty at home.. But Andy's mum objected so going sleeveless with only a diaper is not bad either.
Now he spends 24/7 in air-con room and gets his bedtime sponge-baths before bed :)

Going back to Gong-gong and Popo's house

Baby Adam is all dressed up, and looking very happy to go out :)
Though we are only going back to my parents' and nothing adventurous Hahaha my silly boy...
Thankyou Uncle Junwen for the carseat!

Did you know: It is illegal for children under the age of 8 to travel in a car in Singapore without any carseat.. so it is definitely worth investing in a good one.

But then again, all baby stuff are so expensive, what with the cool designs and lots of "added features" nowadays.. like a carseat isnt just a carseat.. it can also function as a baby carrier (albeit a heavy one!) or can fix onto stroller for infants (Quinny).
So for first-time parents like Andy & myself, we'll end up paying more for stuff which will eventually become white elephants.

Andy: Honey you're looking at strollers again! Do they upload new strollers every minute?
Me: Tsk.... I still cant make up my mind mah...
Andy: You make the whole affair seem like you're eyeing the stock market. Need to always go see meh? Then keep refreshing the page... *rolls eyes*

Dohhh.... What to do? Im torn between Combi or Maclaren... Looks vs function.
Maclaren looks super ugly lor but when I checked reviews on mummy forums most votes went for Maclaren. But then I saw Adrian Pang using Combi for the little baby girl in Nanny Daddy (Nai-pa 100%... there is a rerun of the show every weekend 4.30pm-6.30pm) I cant help but fall in love with my original love all over again...

Maybe I should buy both! Maclaren all-terrain 3-wheeler for our sporty outings to the beach or dog trainings and the chic Combi for shopping trips.

And just to share:
Fox Baby is having storewide halfpriced on all items at Marina Square.. lotsa baby jeans, pants, tees and Disney rompers.
BabyGAP was having 50% off at Vivo City outlet.. the Wisma one only 10-20% off 2nd item onwards...

Okays, gotta go sell my kidney now... Bye bye & hope you enjoyed your weekend as much as we did ours! :)

Shabu-shabu, sales, shopping, stroller!

Took the Rex out for a change.

At Sukiya... the shabu shabu very nice and reasonably priced. $15.90/pax for buffet eat-all-you-can. No service charge even though the service is really prompt and excellent. Thumbs up!

After lunch, Andy dropped me off at Takashimaya. While he went for his haircut, I did some shopping at 3rd storey of Takashimaya. It was designer children's sale everywhere, and I went to take a look at strollers and prams.. But seems like the more I compare, the more confused I became... -__-
So many functions, so many styles and colors...

And there was this "Craziest Toys Sale" at the basement atrium... which I enthusiastically dived into hehe.

I was shoved around by over-zealous kids from all directions left, right, centre, below.... Yes below my waist I mean! The kids just zipped around the whole place scouring for toys.
I also did not bad, I managed to find some toys for Kai Kai as well HEHEHE *mega grin*

After half an hour inside the sea of kids and parents, I was too tired to move a muscle so I sat at the fountain in front of Anne's pretzels to wait for Andy... and also to people-watch.
I ogled shamelessly at parents who pushed their strollers past, practically STARING at the brands.
As I see the different models of strollers and colors, I could feel my lust for the Combi stroller rising.

Its features include:
- one hand open-and-fold
- super lightweight at only 4.2kg
- reversible handle for child to face front or to face parent
- front auto swivel wheel
- Egg Shock cushion
- 5-point safety harness
- mesh seat for ventilation

And sorry to sound superficial, but I'm TOTALLY IN LOVE with the wide range of colors to choose from which are damn nice lor. I'm spoilt for choice!
I finally shortlisted either the yummy brown color or the trendy grey. Both looks equally good with only slight differences.
Didnt buy it today like I intended because I cannot make up my mind :P
As for Kai's current Baby Ace stroller, because it's a gift from Aunty Christine so maybe we'll use it as a spare one.
