Movie date with my children!

Last weekend, at the screening of Avengers: Age of Ultron, Hubby & I brought both kids with us.
There are certain things about motherhood that keeps getting easier with age, and going on dates with your children is one of them.

No more heavy diaper bags with water flasks/ bottles/ milk powder/ diapers/ handkerchiefs/ chew toys in the shape of keys/ nursing cover if you're breastfeeding/ baby nonsense.
Look at your Ma, kids, hands free!

Here we are at Downtown East. I swear I never want to get out of the Eastern part of Singapore if I can help it. We have everything here, and I mean EVERYTHING.
Old folks like us don't quite fancy the town crowd anymore.

Shorty Ashton had to carry his own booster because our hands are all full holding drinks, popcorn, hotdog and nuggets. Sorry baby!

My elder son has a talent of smiling upside down while the younger one has no desire of looking at the camera. At all. #sweat

Ok lah, I don't disturb my children with my irritating handphone flash.
Let them enjoy the popcorn and movie :P

It was a good movie. Thor is so suave and Chris Hemsworth looks like Brad Pitt. Ashton took a nap halfway at the part where the twins joined the Avengers' team. Adam watched it to the end.
It was an overall good movie as the kids enjoyed it and didn't fuss at all.

[Sponsored] #FrisoMoment II: Flower Power at Gardens by the Bay.

I'm super OVERDUE in my blog post!
#FrisoMoment is ending tonight!!!

Don't miss your chances of winning the weekly draw prizes!

For the second instalment of our #FrisoMoment outdoor activity with the kids, we went to Marina Gardens by the Bay for the TulipMania.

On weekends, we are constantly on the lookout for fun places to bring the kids.
We love the kids to enjoy nature and the great outdoors.

This is called the Oleander or Sweet William. According to our Aunty Mary from US, she warns it's important to note that all the parts of this plant are poisonous. So do not let your children touch them if you see them!

Wah, got tulips and windmill in Gardens by the Bay, no need to go to Holland already!

My in-laws don't like to take photos so I'm glad I sneaked a photo of my dear MIL in this photo.
After the flower power, we took a little stroll to Satay by the Bay to makan hawker food.

[Sponsored] Our #FrisoMoment I: Experience more together campaign.

As a dual-working parent household, any time with each other and the children are extremely treasured.
During Hubby's and my free time, we try to make every second count, that's why we bring the children out as much as we can.
While the weekday evening bedtime story is a familiar routine, so are our frequent trips to the great outdoors in eastern parts of Singapore.
As we live just a ten-minute drive from East Coast Beach, it's not difficult to figure out why we are often there on weekends!

Even the kids' pet parrot, whom Adam named Joker, is being roped in on the sandcastle duty.

On certain days, the children get tired of making sand castles and decide to ride their scooters instead.

Pit stop for some ice-cold goodness!

"The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. The mother is something absolutely new." - quote from Pinterest.
As a mum of a soon-to-be 6 year old and a 2 year old, I'm still learning something new about them everyday on the job.

Do you have photos of your family experiences and outings?
Friso would like to invite you to share your family moments on a platform in which you will never run out of ideas for your child to experience this new world with you.

[Media invite] A Night of Magic at Raffles, by renowned magician Joe Labero.

We are truly honoured.
Swedish, four-time Merlin award winning magician Joe Labero's A Night of Magic needs no introduction, and we were invited to attend his show.
This is our first time attending a performance by a magician or illusionist, we are excited!

As children below the age of 5 are not allowed to the show, we had to leave both kids with my in-laws, since if we bring Adam, Ashton will cry murder.
We'll take this as an opportunity to go on a solo date then!
Dressing up, sponsored entertainment, solo date with husband, no kids in my hair, perfecto.
But first things first, lunch beckons.
At Antoinette to fill our tummies before the show.

Yay to an autograph!

Outfit of the day:
Grey midi dress: Cotton On
Heels: Ferragamo Carla heels in patent red
Bag: Hermes Lindy in Rouge Garrance

For the uninitiated, Joe Labero did his debut magic show in Singapore, called Incanto, back in end-2012 to March 2013 at RWS, Sentosa.
His second time here was for A Night of Magic at Raffles Hotel in 2014, and now once again in 2015 due to popular demand.
This year, they are featuring Burnt Out Punks, acrobatic, fire-breathing experts for a spectacular circus and magic entertainment.

We were seated right in front of the stage, and I kept my eyes peeled all the time but damn, Joe's so good! He had the audience fooled and humoured with little effort.
Hubby and I sat through the 1.5hr show without a boring moment.
Joe is extremely talented and full of energy. Truly captivating and fascinating.
If you're looking for a weekend of phenomenal entertainment with the family, you have to go to A Night of Magic at Raffles!
The kids at the show were all bowled over in awe many times over, I wish Adam had come with us!

Thank you Cheryl, the management at Krall Entertainment, and the wonderful team at A Night of Magic at Raffles for this privileged invite.

Hubby and I in Maldives Day 1: Getting to our resort.

Good morning Maldives!
We landed at Male airport on Thursday night so we stayed at a transit hotel till the first morning seaplane was ready to take us to our resort.

At the seaplane terminal waiting for boarding.

I love my rainbow tie-dye maxi :)

Taking off! 25 minutes to Vilamendhoo, our resort.

Maldives is made up of many different atolls and Vilamendhoo is in the South Ari Atoll.

Hello Vilamendhoo!

The sun never stops shining!

Every time I step out of the villa, I am in Paradise.

Here are the costs of:
Seaplane USD$340/pax for both-ways (Pick-up at hotel upon arrival and drop-off at airport upon departure)
Water Villa USD$600/night. The Water villas are out of bounds to children. However, Vilamendhoo has beach front chalets at about half the price of the Water Villas and are kid-friendly.

Our first day upon checking-in was to walk around the resort, getting to know the facilities and also swimming in the sea right at our doorstep!
We also booked ourselves for water activities the following days in Day 2, Day 3, and Day 4.
