Baby Kai goes shopping...

... at IKEA!

My Mum, her friend and I spent 4 friggin' hours at IKEA Tampines! What a good way to spend my leave.
Baby Kai enjoyed it thoroughly, and as expected, we spent a huge portion of our time stuck at the Children's section and the cafe.
The tiny bed sets and everything else looks so delectable! Can't wait for our new home to be ready so we can start buying the cute cars & tracks carpet, matching theme bedsheets and more.

At the end of our shopping, amongst every big and small purchase, we also bought a huge toybox for the Lil Monster :)

The post-Xmas entry

Our X'mas this year was anything but peaceful. I had a party at work filled with lots of food and noise.
Back at home, we went places and spent it with family and loved ones.
Little Munchkin caught the seasonal flu bug I passed to him, so you could imagine our bedsheets stained with sticky flu syrup which our baby had conveniently smeared on, Mummy's Rudolph red nose (somehow Baby A seems unaffected by his runny nose, although I certainly am!) , battling with his insomnia because he is too hyped up for the festive season (he seems to know Mummy is on long leave till next year). Hmmm.

Our little Munchkin goes to recce his "ONE IS FUN" Birthday venue in his smashin' new Cameleon. Yes, that's our slogan so please don't copy us when it's your turn Ok. You know who you are!
He has this nonchalent look on his face which seems to say that he is so used to all that fuss n pampering we shower on him.
It is this same silly look that makes me weak in the knees and wanna squeeze him tight and give him a wet slobbery kiss!

I want to be

a Stay-Home Mom.
I've been super tired lately, with work & Baby Adam and family. Not to mention, I'm starting school in 2 months' time!

What a busy year 2010 will be.

I badly need a break. Maybe a few months non-paid leave at home to even out the start of a new bumpy chapter of my life would be nice, since I cannot resign because I have to serve an existing bond.
I could use some bonding time with my Baby Adam too, since he is at the age now where he will reach many more new milestones of his development.

Nothing beats caring for my baby myself. I missed the 7 months staying at home.
Not having to wake up to an alarm is great too. And I have the whole day to plan my activities with Adam & Hubby.

In 2010, I will be a daughter, a grand-daughter, a mother, a wife, a sister, a fulltime working mom, a student, a dogs-owner, a friend, a niece.
Time to brave up for the busy year ahead!

Baby Rayden's shower!

It won't be long before he starts tearing down the house though.. hahaha

Happy 7 Months old!

My precious Baby turns 7 Months old today. And he also cut his FIRST TOOTH today as well.
This emotional Mummy feels so proud of my Baby, but at the same time can't help but feel a slight tinge of sadness.
Baby Adam is slowly inching his way to Toddlerhood and further & further away from his infancy, which I can't get enough of!

People always comment that they have difficult babies, naughty babies, babies who don't sleep through the night, babies who cry for nothing, but Baby Adam has been such a pleasure to care for.
He makes mothering and loving him an easy and natural thing to do.

Emotional me took out his dried up umbilicus stump, snippets of his Full Month haircut, his calligraphy brush made from his hair... and reminisced.
I wish Baby Adam would always remain my precious lil baby - the one I carried inside me for 37 weeks and 3 days, the one I swaddled and cuddled against the warmth of my body during the early days of his life, the one who makes everyone laugh simply by laughing, the one who makes our lives complete.
I love you with all my heart, Baby Adam.
Happy One Month Older.

X'mas present for Baby Adam!

Baby Adam has a virtual present from Aunty Joy and Uncle Scott - Thank you for your love!!
Watching this video and listening to the song makes me cry. I'm so dumb I know.
But my heartfelt Thanks really, I could never make something as amazing and meaningful as this!

Lucky Adam, he has so many presents pouring in from friends & relatives already (even before we can smell ham & turkey!): designer clothes, shoes (one wonders how many times a baby can wear 12 pairs of shoes till he outgrows 'em), toys, books.... from Bali, Vietnam, HK, SG, Aussie..

It sure is good to be a baby! *envious Mummy*

Off the face of this Earth

Sorry friends, if I have been uncontactable these coupla weeks.
My schedule is filled to the brim with endless lists of things to do/ places to go.
- 2 weddings
- 3 birthdays (Hubby, my mum, my bestie)
- baby shower
- Baby Adam's newly enrolled swimming sessions
- weekend trip from 24-26 Dec 09

and to add to my already overflowing schedule, I've also been made organiser and treasurer of my workplace's Xmas party. WOAH!

So yeah... I will disappear for this period and until then, I can still be contacted via SMS. I will usually reply when I see the messages.

Hubby's 27th Birthday - Part III

Hubby turns 27!

This is a memorable year - Andy became a husband and a father, and also the bonus that he gets to celebrate his Birthday for 3 consecutive days!

We celebrated the exact date of his birth with a small cake at Changi T3.
I can't believe Hubby is 27 already! Still so young for a guy.. Not fair right!

Hubby has been joking about secretly replacing my Pill with folic acid and multi-vits so that we can have a Baby No. 2. Uh-ohhh... No wonder I love this man to bits! and for so many other things :)

Playdate Monday

It was Daddy's Birthday and I took sick leave cos I couldn't wake up on time to go to work.
In the noon, I decided to bring Darling Adam to my aunt's place to socialise with his cousins.

The kids learned how to share toys and make friends.

and they learned simple social skills like passing property to one another and they learned that they don't win all the time.

Then there was nap time where Jiahui (my cousin's daughter) & Adam both slept.
Jiale (my cousin's son) is rocking Adam to sleep in his hammock. How brotherly!

I was really happy and proud that the kids didn't fight and had a fab time getting along :)
When Adam woke up, it was time to go fetch Daddy for the Birthday Boy's cake-cutting session! More about that in another post :D

Andy & I are vey strict and we do not allow our families to feed Baby Kai junk or adult food, like: chewed up Keropok, or bits from the adult plates.

Hubby's 27th Birthday - Part II

It was Family Day for Birthday Dad, Baby Kai & Mummy :)
We went to Vivo City for a Marche lunch, then Baby Kai went for his first swim session.

Work Emotion 18-inch bronze sports rims.

Custom made and still being shipped over from Japan (it takes 6-8 weeks for the make-to-order for GTI plus shipping) . Too bad they cant make it in time for Hubby's birthday, but for the price I paid, it'd better be worth the wait!
I still cant understand how guys justify spending thousands of dollars on rims.. I mean, they are RIMS and not even tyres.. and they just sit on the exterior and roll on the roads.. Zzzzz.. I can buy a bag with this money... but anyhow...
Decided to splurge on Hubby this year since he has been a good boy thus far. Hehe..
