Happy 7 Months old!

My precious Baby turns 7 Months old today. And he also cut his FIRST TOOTH today as well.
This emotional Mummy feels so proud of my Baby, but at the same time can't help but feel a slight tinge of sadness.
Baby Adam is slowly inching his way to Toddlerhood and further & further away from his infancy, which I can't get enough of!

People always comment that they have difficult babies, naughty babies, babies who don't sleep through the night, babies who cry for nothing, but Baby Adam has been such a pleasure to care for.
He makes mothering and loving him an easy and natural thing to do.

Emotional me took out his dried up umbilicus stump, snippets of his Full Month haircut, his calligraphy brush made from his hair... and reminisced.
I wish Baby Adam would always remain my precious lil baby - the one I carried inside me for 37 weeks and 3 days, the one I swaddled and cuddled against the warmth of my body during the early days of his life, the one who makes everyone laugh simply by laughing, the one who makes our lives complete.
I love you with all my heart, Baby Adam.
Happy One Month Older.

Love,
Mummy

Brotherly bond

Seeing eye-to-eye

Licks...

Sayang Dog-dog

After establishing trust, you can torture Man's best friend. Oops! Don't say Mummy said that!

Look at the proud face of our Tampines Torturer:
Poor Mavy!

Some happy times with the boys

Here's Andy with Baby Adam after giving him his morning bath.
He was reading the soft book to Adam in which the animals said "It was naughty little Puppy!" *points promptly at Mavy* and that really cracked Adam up!

Andy felt guilty after making me mad and he made up by being super nice to me. What can I say?
Boysss.... Cant live with them, cant live without them. Hmmph..

We had a fantabulous weekend. We brought Adam back to my parents' and I'm reminded once again how lucky I am to have a fab family to egg me on.
I love my parents, Aunt LY, Grandma and siblings so much and I'm thankful that Adam will grow up in such an environment as well :)

Veron, Mum of Three.

I was in the room with Baby Kai when I heard the Cow toy singing "Yee ya yee ya O" so I went out to investigate and this is what I saw....

BAD DOGS!

Back in the room.... the BIGGEST baby:
"Please dont ignore me Mummy"

Awww..... With a face like that, looking all teary-eyed and oh-so-sad, who would have the heart not to carry him??
So yes, I not only picked him up to carry him but I also cuddled, kissed and smothered him till he nearly went breathless.
I love you so much Baby Kai!
(and dont worry, I love you too Mavy & Alice!)

The many HAPPY faces of Adam Tan Tian Kai

This is my HAPPY bubbly Bubs when he wakes up in the mornings. He has so much zest for life and is always so happy to greet the start of a new day that it puts us lazy adults to shame Hahaha

"Good morning folks!" (see how he has deviated from his pillow Hahaha)

Water baby getting ready for his morning "swims"

After his swim in the tub, here he is going for walkies with the doggies in his new uber cool stroller :D
'cept in the photos, the dogs are nowhere to be seen because they cant wait for slowpoke Mummy to be done taking photos and have ran off on their adventures Haha

Combi Miracle Turn is really a dream to handle... I cant love it enough!
The parent-facing is brilliant, because babies feel more secure being able to see their parents.
See how much Adam is enjoying his walkies? Hehehehe

Everyday I thank God Almighty for blessing us with a healthy, cherubic baby.
Baby Adam is so happy. Happy with life, happy with the littlest things.
This teaches us - his parents - to appreciate the small things in life.
And oh, dont forget to slow down and smell the roses!

Quiet Monday

It's a quiet Monday for us today.
The dogs are well behaved. I even did a round of Obedience with Mavy and he actually remembers all his commands and did a pretty darn good Recall, if I may say so myself.
I cant wait to get back to training with Mavy again.

Baby Adam is a mellow fellow today too, thank goodness. Because if he werent, I wont have the energy to deal with him either.. I am still suffering the repercussions of our insane weekend, and went about the whole day doing things in half steam. zzzzZZzz

He is a good boy, entertaining himself on his Disney play gym.

Happy Saturday!

I'm really excited that the weekend is finally here!
What a busssyyyy week for us leh... with Baby A and spending the whole week keeping our appointments. Met our financial planner twice lor!
But finally we settled our investments and Baby A's insurance plans. (Heaves a huge sigh of relief!)

So today, being Saturday, Andy was a good Daddy who woke up early to bathe Baby A and we left him in Andy's mum's care while we went Vivo City (again) for shopping.
I'm really thankful to have sucha wonderful MIL who is competent in caring for Baby A and best of all she doesnt mind and in fact enjoys spending time with him.
Aint I lucky to have my Mum, Andy's mum and Aunt LY to help me out with our Little Rascal :) Time to plan for Princess Valentina? muaahahahaha~ just kidding

Okays back to shopping at Vivo City.. Yes I love going to Vivo City because it's so family-friendly (read: Many baby stores :P )
Bought some MORE BabyGAP tees and pants for Baby A again, and bought some clothes for us too.

This is my favourite of today's shopping loot! :

Ultimate Frisbee Champ

Yes, without a doubt my baby will grow up to be Ultimate Frisbee & Dogsports trainer like his Mummy and Daddy haha

Back to the topic...

This is Baby A dressed up for dinner with Ah Gong and Ah Ma.

Looking Ah Beng in his red color Fah-lah-li. Manual transmission somemore - by his parents. Ahem.

My sweet little girl

Alice after a nice cold bath on a hot humid Friday noon. I sprinkled some Kodomo baby powder on her and she smells so nice.
I turned on the fan for her and she is sleeping soundly like a baby.
I love to smell her toe-sies. They have this unique musky smell which may sound gross but I like. Hee..

By the way, can you see her teeth? I wonder why Shelties cannot seem to close their mouths fully. Maybe that's why they love to bark bark BARK as well?? Many teeth = very chatty.

The sweetest thing

I often wonder what life would be like with the dogs and Baby.Well for one, I am not exactly sure how they are gonna react with a screaming crying pooping vulnerable new family member who wouldnt reciprocate to their requests of play-biting and butt-sniffing.

I was enjoying abit of female bonding time with dear girl Alice after we both had a nice cold shower on humid Saturday when she suddenly, out of the blue, leaned her face onto my tummy.

This is the 1st time she does something like this and it touched me so much - because none of the dogs seem to acknowledge my ballooning tummy and stupid Mavy continues to jump on me when I come home.
She pressed her face on Baby for a long time (long enough for me to capture this shot but pardon the quality because that's the best I could get from sucha closeup angle) and Baby was kicking/wiggling inside as she did that, responding very well to her gesture.

Sugar and spice and everything nice - that's what little girly Shelties are made of :)

My Smooth Coat Border Collie

Sent Mavy for grooming today and he came back looking like this:

He became super conscious and shy about his new haircut and wouldnt smile for the camera like he always would. (Refer to photo below)

Plus, it didnt help that everyone at home kept laughing at him and teasing him which makes Mavy even more self conscious.
Andy was quite furious and shocked and he said this will be the last time he is sending Mavy to the groomer. *Oops*
I even got scolding from him...

Andy: Dear I thought I said dont shave all botak? You ask them to shave all botak is it?
Me: No lah I never!
Andy: This will be the last time I'm sending him there ok.
Andy: *talks to Mavy* Puppy dont worry, will grow out very fast ok? I must give you fish oil from now on.

Diva dog

Andy was playing Baroque at Bathtime classical music to:
- Let me relax after a hard day's work
- Sooth baby
- Stimulate baby
.
.
.
And look who's stimulated and soothed too??

Happy faces!
Alice doesnt like sharing her Queen sized bed and Mavy, being a gentleman, is happy to sleep on the floor and let her have the bed to herself.

When they share the bed, Alice is clearly sulky.

Sadly, I have to arrange for Ms Diva Dog to board at Alan's gf's place during my confinement.
That's because confinement is a dreadful long month where new Mummies aren't allowed to go out of the house, and I will be expecting my Malay massage lady to come daily and it would be inconvenient for 2 dogs to be in the same house.

Looks like Alice will have to get used to a month in Alan's gf's, which isnt too bad. In fact, not bad at all!
She stays in private property at Loyang and has a garden where Alice is allowed to go do her business. And Alice gets to sleep in the room, not be some garden guard dog.
During CNY Alice stayed there for a week and Alan's gf cooked fish and pork for Alice everyday.
It's clear that they both adore Alice so very much.
I feel so jealous that someone is able to provide sucha good life for Alice and that person is not me :(

Introducing: New member of the family

We have a new member - an orange colored kitten named Mango.
My mum picked him up (my neighbour Ah Siew picked his sibling) from the market.
he is so playful and a bundle of curiosity and energy!
I can hardly get a decent shot of him since he is always running around.

Disturbing Andy in the kitchen

Super kaypo kitten exploring kitchen 100x a day.

Mango loves to fall asleep on my mum's neck. Cute!
