More Xmas shopping

After much deciding, we finally went to BQMart today and bought a (not-so) small BBQ pit for our balcony.
At the store, there were gas grills, charcoal grills, electric grills.... tall ones, short ones... Why so many choices one?!

We initially only wanted a tiny portable pit which can be easily stowed away after the party but upon seeing so many different ones on display, not to mention with the help of the very enabling sales staff, in the end we settled for a Charcoal grill with side tables.

We even bought red wine flavoured wood chips and other accessories to go along.

On a sidenote, my staghorns are thriving. I feed my stags bananas + skin once awhile if I happen to eat them and water them twice a week. They practically live on air and are so easy to care for :)

Now all we need is a Xmas tree and lotsa bubblies! .. . oOo0oOO00O

When the -Ber months are here....

you know that X'mas is near :D

Went shopping with my Mum, Hubby & our darling Kai.
That's right - our Christmas shopping has begun! It's gonna be the 1st Xmas in our new home ;)

Good night world, it's been a busy few weeks and I'm dead beat.
Yummy dreams of Santa!

Stop shopping!

This has been an insanely busy week for me. Work, back to back school assignments and lectures, surgeries, juggling my duties as a *ahem* good wife & mom.
On top of that, we had not one, not two, but THREE birthday parties to attend!! All in one week.
2 of my Mummy friends' kids turned one, and my Grandma turned 83. Or 84, according to confusing lunar dates, but who's counting? I just want my Granny to be healthy and happy always :)

Over the weekend, we also bought Adam his new toy. Wanted to take advantage of the IT fair at Suntec but alas they had everything but iPad 2!!! How can that be?!

Anyway in the end we bought the iPad 2 from Epi centre so now all we have to do is to get the multi sim-card from our service provider.

Kids' toys this century come with hefty price tags.

For Hubby and myself, we've been increasing the retail revenue at Club 21 for their AX 20 years anniversary and I even bought some shoes and accessories to go along.

Veron you need to stop shopping!!

P.S. My boss is on leave next week.. Woohooo~!!!

Drove home with an(other) orange box today

"Good things come in small packages, and they don't always have to be pink" - Veron

I went back to the ward today to settle the nitty gritty of my resignation, ie. Hand over staff pass, locker key etc.

After which, I received a timely SMS from Hermès saying they have some new arrivals of Twillys so I hopped over to NAC to get a piece for my new bag.

I was attended by a nice SA who helped to tie it on for me.

I love orange boxes :)

Happy Birthday to me

Birthday pressies from the Hubby and dearest son :)

Present from Kai and Hubz: my boys shared $$ to buy this for me. Kai used his angpao $$. I am extremely touched!
As you might know, I had a bumpy start to 2011 (battling with Bronchitis and giving away my diva dog), so it's time to charm it up!

Clockwise from top: Clover leaf for Luck, Peace sign, Pram to symbolise my journey into Motherhood and for being Adam's Mom, Sagittarius for Hubz, Red heel for me. I love it!

Another arm-candy in a lovely distressed Anthracite for me to use as a baby bag.

Nicole Richie hearts Bal-bag. So do I :)

Another DSLR to add on to my collection - EOS 550D. It's an expensive hobby, but I've been a good girl and Andy's been very enabling :)

My cam family:

**********

And also..... I'm going on an expenses-paid holiday to HK with my parents & my dearest baby boy, on my Birthday weekend! *jumps in joy*
My big boy is unable to come due to his never-ending work, but oh..... he's letting me get away with shopping... all charged to him of course. HEHEHEHEHE

Tory Burch had better stock up on Charmaine's and my sizes ;)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

Tulle for the mom

Met up with an old time long-lost friend yesterday, an ex-classmate turned fellow Mommy friend.
I splurged on a new dress for myself to go with my pearls. Not entirely sure which would complement which, though. Pearls to complement new dress or dress to complement pearls.

Anyway, I also found a versatile dress-down look for the pearls. Ashlee Simpson is wearing her strand with leggings and a Marc Jacobs bag.

Back to my long-lost friend. Can't believe it's been 3 years since we talked. Three friggin' years.
My son is already coming to 2 now, and her son 1. So much has changed between us, yet when we met up it felt as though little has changed. We simply carried on from where we left off.

Life is too short, it is sometimes good to let go off the unpleasant and negative stuff in our lives.
Sometimes, I just take a step back and fathom about God's and Life's uncanniness with a smile, because most of the time, I don't even have time to think. Simply too caught up with the hustle and bustle of daily mundaneness.

Like today.

My day started at 8am when I sent Kai off to school; Alice is coming back for a week to board with me while Alan and his wife goes on a tour; and I'm going to spend the whole day with my Mum today, running CNY errands buying cartons of drinks & goodies.
The plan is I'll fetch Kai from school and set off to drop off Kai's walker for Meena's trying-to-walk-but-cant-walk-yet Vetrin, then to my Mum's to pick her up, Aunty LY will be taking care of Kai while we go CNY shopping.

Okay going to catch a power nap now. Ciao!

Melissa & Doug magnets

photos all courtesy of Google Images

Aren't these the cutest magnets? Made of top quality, child-safe wood and paint, Melissa & Doug wooden magnetic toys make the perfect gift for your nephew/niece/friend's child/your own child. Best of all, they are not expensive, priced at about SGD$14.90 - $26.90.

They are so cute that I couldn't resist buying them for my own tod! and I'm also buying the Princess set for a cousin's daughter's 1st Birthday ^__^
I have a fussy toddler who doesn't really like toys so I put a lot of thought into the things I buy for him. Thankfully, he enjoys playing with these. It keeps him occupied in the kitchen while I'm busy with whatever I'm doing.
I've also come to learn an important lesson the hard way - expensive doesn't necessarily mean good.

The dress-up magnets allow you & your child to narrate a different story each time and encourages creativity & imagination.
And because they are magnets, you can stick them onto your refrigerator or easel and they are mess-free! Now isn't that brilliant?

Your friends will thank you for this thoughtful Christmas gift :)

Tory Burch flats

New shoes with my dirty ol' bag :P
I still love the smoochy creamy leather of my Bal-bag though. And the color - a perfect shade of blue to brighten up any outfit.
Balenciaga is my new diaper bag, since I dont have to lug around the whole nursery when I'm out with my 18-mth old anymore.

Found these Tory Burch's while we were in HK. Unfortunately, I cant find them in SG.
Really soft and comfy. We walked for miles while in HK and these flats really served my feet well.

I love wearing flats especially when I need to chase after Kai, and drive.

Tommy Hilfiger comes to town

Was shopping for my son's clothes at Takashimaya today and saw a new kid on the designer tods' tog block - TOMMY HILFIGER.
Quite frankly, Taka baby section is getting rather stale with the usual players being Burberry, Ralph Lauren and Armani Junior.

Maybe it is because of his wife, Dee's birth of their son that inspired him to design kids' clothes.

Whatever it is, I'm definitely welcoming this new selection!

Trunki suitcase for the big at heart

photos from Google Images

Travelling with kids can be stressful, especially when they have to be confined in a small area for hours. Trunki is a lifesaver. My tod loves it, and I most certainly love it too!

It is an approved handcarry luggage which your kid can ride on or be pulled along by you.
Most importantly, it is lightweight and has a well thought out design for you to keep his knick knacks and keep occupied on the plane with his favourite toys.

Comes in an array of different colors.

Now, everyone can be happy :)

Shoe sale.

There's a sale going on at United Square at the moment.
Trade in any pair of your tot's old shoes - any brand, any condition - and get $20 off a brand new pair of Osh Kosh shoes. That's practically half-price.

Me: Hon, I found a great deal today while browsing at United Square before work. (and I went on to tell him the above)
Andy: You know what's Mankind's greatest money reducing agent ever discovered?
Me: SALE.
Andy: It's WOMEN.

Bloody hell where got Hubby liddat say the wife. Hahahaha

I really need to stop buying stuff, especially since we're already going to HK next week!

Starstruck Sunday

And so Hubs & I headed down to Zouk for the Charity flea, and we were kinda star-struck cos we saw many local celebs like Apple Hong and the boys from the DG gang (a bunch of the hair and makeup gurus in the local celeb scene, but I just can't put a name to the faces!) . DG the man himself was not present cos he's currently overseas for an assignment but the stash were really quite amazing stuff.

Shorty me with a very gorgeous Apple Hong. She is friendly and has no airs about her, which is so rare for famous people nowadays. Isnt she pretty!
Can you see the Chanel boxes and clutches peeping from behind?

I bought a few blouses, dresses, and something in an orange box from Apple... but who's counting?
Andy also managed to snag something from the DG booth, a pair of very new limited edition Nike sneakers which are discontinued, at only $50. What a steal!

Sooo.... what's hiding in my orange box?
.
.
.

Did Santa come early this year?

My Hermes Kelly watch, in Epsom leather.
Nice?? :D
Now she can be best friends with my Omega Constellation.

How it looks when worn:

More orange boxes and brown ribbons pleaseeeee! I'm loving it.
.
.
.
Ooo oooh and also, our dearest son turns 17-mths today, on the 17th!
Happy one-month-older sonny. May you continue to grow into an amazing, well-behaved, healthy, happy Bubs, and be a truly wonderful person with a beautiful mind and spirit.
Love,

your folks.

Zouk Flea & Easy

Don't know where to go this Sunday?
Everybody's favourite Flea market is here again, Zouk's quarter-yearly Flea & Easy.
The last time we went, top model Celia Tay had a booth selling her almost-new clothes and shoes.
This time, another media's dahhling, David Gan, is having a booth selling his loot.
You can expect stuff from Junya Watanabe and COMME des GARCONS.
Whatever it is, you know these celebs only wear their clothes once or at most twice, because God forbid they be caught in the same outfit twice!
Be deliberately caught wearing the same stuff that Christopher Lee wears because they always buy the same clothes.

Moreover, all proceeds from the sale will go to a charity of DG's choice.
So yeah, head on down to:

ZOUK Flea & Easy: Charity edition.
17 Jiak Kim Street, Singapore 169420
2.00pm - 7.00pm
Admission is ALWAYS Free!

Don't say I never say ;)
Happy Weekend shopping~

I have to say, I'm looking forward to more orange boxes in future pls! ;)
Right now, I'm just glad the long and horrid week is over, time to embrace the weekend!

These Chanels are made for walking

I'm still waiting for my Cambon long wallet, so meanwhile here're photos of my Chanel thongs.
They are really comfy and it's definitely worth the price. *grins*

Now I wanna get myself onto the Birkin waiting list, but for you fashionista mommies out there, the list is currently closed till probably next year. But good things are sweeter for the wait ya?

What Little boys love

Was a fruitful day in town today, because by the end of the day, our car boot and passenger seats were loaded with our shopping!

Kai at The Better Toy Store:

Then we went furniture browsing again.. What do little boys love? Is it a cool Ferrari bed?

Or is it F1 Racing bed?

At the Robinsons sale... we found these cool little gadgets!

Do the boys love their personal Popcorn maker when being couch potatoes at home?

Or do they love our awesome new gourmet coffee maker which took a month to arrive?

This machine is so easy to use, and so fuss-free. Just pop a capsule into the maker and out comes your piping hot coffee. Comes in many different flavours ranging from Intenso to Light.
I was happily making cups of coffee for my in-laws and Hubby.

I am not usually a coffee-drinker, but after getting this brilliant new toy, I'm a coffee convert!
If anyone wants to try the coffee I make, do feel free to swing by our home yah?

So the boys got their toys, what does Mummy love?
Well, she got her new Chanel loots.... shoes and a long wallet to match her flap and diamond CC earings *swoon*
Photos coming up soon ;)
